New firmware release: Yamaha Rolls Out Support for SMPTE ST2110-30 Starting with new firmware for the CL/QL Series Digital Mixers and R series I/O Racks

Yamaha releases regular software updates to continue to give sound engineers constant access to high-quality, user-friendly functions. The latest update allows Yamaha CL/QL Series digital mixers and R Series I/O racks to support SMPTE ST2110-30, the standard for sending digital media over IP networks.
CL/QL Series digital mixers are already used at many broadcasting stations and in outside broadcasting vehicles. Compatibility with SMPTE ST2110-30 facilitates stations’ shift to IP, enabling them to construct systems premised on interconnection.
“Obviously, it is extremely important for digital mixers to be able to connect with other equipment and networks,” comments Motome Tanaka, Yamaha Group Manager of the PA Marketing & Sales Group. “The new support for SMPTE ST2110-30 will help systems that already include CL/QL Series mixers make the shift to IP as well as making them an attractive option for future systems.”
Yamaha strives constantly to listen to customers and give them what they need for more responsive, convenient mixing experiences.
