Série MA/PA

L'amplificateur-mélangeur MA2030 et l’amplificateur de puissance PA2030 disposent d'interfaces qui ont été spécialement conçus pour une utilisation sans effort. La priorité a été donnée aux contrôles essentiels utilisés en permanence comme le bouton de volume de sortie et le sélecteur de sources, tandis que les autres fonctions sont déportées sur le panneau arrière afin d’éviter les mauvaises manipulations. De plus, il n'est pas nécessaire d’utiliser un ordinateur pour effectuer les différents réglages. De simples commutateurs permettent la mise en service des fonctions de priorités, d’anti-larsen, etc.

Dans un robuste châssis métallique, le MA2030 embarque le savoir-faire et l’expérience séculaires de Yamaha dans le domaine du son. Trois entrées stéréo et deux entrées micro (XLR jack combo et euroblock) offrent beaucoup de capacité d'entrées pour les petites installations. The heart of the MA and PA series is a highly efficient Class-D amplifier design that delivers ample output while consuming very little power. It also includes intelligent protection circuitry inherited from Yamaha’s flagship touring amplifier series, effectively protecting both the amplifier and connected speakers. Efficient naturally cooled designs that do not require cooling fans contribute to high reliability as well as quiet operation.

The MA2120 and PA2120 are both certified by ENERGY STAR,* the internationally recognized standard of energy efficiency accorded to environmentally friendly equipment. Both models feature an auto standby function that minimizes power consumption by automatically switching to standby mode when no audio input is detected for more than 25 minutes. Normal operation resumes as soon as audio input is detected. The energy-efficient MA/PA Series amplifiers are also certified as Yamaha Eco Products.**

The MA2030a features bass and treble stereo source EQ controls. With EQ knobs of MA2030a front panel, the low and high frequency contours of　the stereo input sources can be adjusted. The source EQ also includes an enhancer function* that adds harmonics as necessary for improved sound. With MA2120, an output EQ can be set for each output channel.

In addition, all MA/PA Series amplifiers come equipped with speaker EQ that provides ideal equalization for Yamaha VXS/VXC speakers, LPF** and HPF.

*The MA2120 features the stereo source EQ with an enhancer function for Input 7 - 8, as well as the source EQ for Input 1 - 6. Also, an output EQ can be set for each output channel.

**MA2030a excluded

The MA/PA Series is capable of controlling input sources and volumes for two separate areas (source / volume zoning). For example, in an apparel store with the women’s section downstairs and the men’s section upstairs, or in a restaurant with dinner tables and a bar area, different background music and announcements can be delivered at different volumes to best complement the atmosphere of each environment.Because the MA2120 has two output channels, users can easily manage source/ volume zoning for two separate areas with a unit. (Please refer to System Example 4 and 5.) In addition to volume zoning, the rear-panel ROUTE switches enable input source selection for each area. Speaker output levels in both areas can also be matched via the DIP switch settings. For a larger space, PA2120 or PA2030a can be added to the system, expanding service areas with volume zoning. A MA2030a system combined with a PA2030a can cover two service areas with volume zoning. For example, as shown in the image, background music can be played inside a cafe at a low volume level while the same music plays at a moderate level for an outdoor terrace.

The optional DCP control panels* allow remote volume control, microphone ON/OFF switching, and triggering the built-in chime for announcements.

* DCP4V4S, DCP1V4S and DCP4S, up to two units in total, can be connected to MA2120 and PA2120. One unit of DCP1V4S can be connected to MA2030a.

This system is suitable for use in classrooms. The MA2030a is used in 4Ω mode to drive two parallel-connected VS6 surface mount speakers (8Ω each) via one channel and two parallel-connected VXC4 ceiling speakers (8Ω each) via the other channel.

This system is suitable for use in lecture halls, conference rooms. An MA2030a is used in 8Ω mode and a PA2030a is used in 4Ω mode, driving a pair of VXS5 surface mount speakers (8Ω each) and four VXC4 ceiling speakers (8Ω each) respectively. Multiple microphones can be connected to the MA2030a, and overall output level in the room can be easily controlled via the front-panel volume knob.

This figure shows a system that would be ideal for a café, bar, or restaurant. Both the MA2030a and PA2030a are set to drive 70-volt lines, powering a total of sixteen VXC4 ceiling speakers in two zones via their 3.8W transformer taps. The MA2030a and PA2030a panel controls can be used for independent volume control in their respective zones, while a wall-mounted DCP1V4S control panel allows convenient adjustment of overall volume. Since the MA2030a accepts simultaneous input from audio players and microphones, this simple system can handle basic BGM for normal business as well as announcements and special events.

This figure shows a system that would be ideal for a restaurant with a bar and terrace area. The MA2120 is set to drive 100-volt lines, powering a total of 8 VXS3FT surface mount speakers via their 3.8W transformer taps, as well as 4 VXC3F ceiling speakers. The MA2120 can deliver different sources at different volumes in the respective zone. The PA2030a at 4Ω mode Lo-Z connection drives a total of 4 VXS5 surface mount speakers in parallel, delivering the same BGM at higher level.

This figure shows a system of an apparel store with two floors, requiring different music at different output levels in each floor. The MA2120 is set to drive 100-volt lines, powering a total of 6 VXS5 surface mount speakers for 1st Floor and 8 VXC5F ceiling speakers for 2nd Floor. The additional PA2120 drives a VXS10S subwoofer for each floor, giving more comfortable bass to the music. The DCP1V4S controller panels allows volume control of each floor as well as mic on/off switching for store announcements.
