Studio EQ is a high-quality 4-band parametric stereo equalizer. All four bands can act as fully parametric peak filters. In addition, the low and high bands can act as either shelving filters (three types) or as cut filters (low-pass/high-pass).
Dynamic EQ is a newly developed equalizer, and is not an emulation of a particular model. Since a filter that extracts the same band as the EQ is set on the side-chain, the EQ gain changes dynamically only when the frequency band with an input signal becomes large or small. You can apply EQ to a specific band, like a compressor or an expander. For example, if you use it as a de-esser for vocals, the EQ will be applied to that band only when the sibilants and high-frequency noises are at a jarring level. The result is a natural sound that does not compromise the original sound quality. It is also equipped with two full-band Dynamic EQs that can be used in various ways. EQ-1A emulates a vintage EQ that is said to be representative of passive EQs.
