With the surround sound unit housed in the top section and supported by two aluminum columns, the YRS-1500 offers an open design that evokes the look of a grand piano and has plenty of space for your other components. It also eliminates the problem of where to put a subwoofer, as a powerful 100W unit is hidden away inside. The middle shelf is height adjustable. An interior slide sheet lets you easily slide the unit when you want to move it. You can use the optional bracket to install your TV flush with the wall, giving you a neat system installation.

Yamaha’s ultra-sophisticated CINEMA DSP technology creates thrillingly realistic soundscapes in any room. You can select 10 different programs, including three Movie, three Music and four Entertainment programs.

Yamaha has succeeded in providing a 7.1-channel surround sound experience through headphones, while maintaining excellent audio quality. Using highly sophisticated HRTF (Head-Related Transfer Function) technology and FIR (Finite Impulse Response) filter processing, the headphone output offers accurately localized front and rear sound orientation for private enjoyment of movies and music. There are also specialized modes for TV programs and games.

The YRS-1500 provides 3 in/1 out HDMI connections with support for the latest HDMI version for 4K60p transmission, featuring 3D for transmitting 3D video signals. Audio Return Channel lets you hear the TV sound from the YRS-1500 via a single HDMI cable, with no need for an extra optical cable. HDMI also provides the benefits of Deep Color, x.v.Color and Auto Lip-Sync.

This Yamaha exclusive feature ensures optimum multi-channel sound reproduction with accurate image location. By monitoring and analyzing the sound with the microphone included with the YRS-1500, IntelliBeam automatically sets the best beam angles, while optimizing the level and frequency response of each beam. This makes initial setup both extremely simple and acoustically perfect.

The 16 beam speaker drivers have an acoustic suspension design and silk edges for smooth high frequency response. The dual 6 x 10 cm front speakers have a new low-vibration design and the front cabinet is designed for clean midrange response. The 13 cm subwoofer has a powerful magnetic circuit for deep and strong bass. In addition, the bass reflex port has a flared edge design to prevent wind noise.
