Stefano Belotti joins growing list of players choosing Yamaha trombones
Stefano Belotti began his studies in 2004 with Guido Delmonte at the Conservatory “Luca Marenzio” Brescia graduating with full marks and honours in 2009.
Driven by his passion for chamber and solo music, Stefano founded the Mascoulisse Quartet in 2007. The group was a huge success and they have gone on to perform over 450 concert across Europe, the USA and China winning numerous international chamber music awards.
In 2016 he premiered ‘Trissirt” for Trombone Quartet and Orchestra composed by Piergiorgio Ratti at the Teatro Sociale of Sondrio to critical acclaim. In 2017, Stefano followed this up by performing the Double Concerto for Bass Trombone and Clarinet by Sonja Grossner for the first time in Italy accompanied by Orchestra”I Solisti Veneti” directed by M ° Claudio Scimone.
Alongside of his passion for chamber and solo music, Stefano is also dedicated to supporting young students and professionals and giving them the opportunity to connect with many of the world’s leading names. It is this dedication that led him to founding the Masterbrass Festival.
When asked to comment on his choice of instrument, Stefano kept it fairly simple stating: ‘My Yamaha trombone: love at first breath.’
