YAMAHA & Lightware
Who is Lightware
Over its 23-year history, Lightware has consistently pushed the boundaries of signal management technology, pioneering numerous world-first innovations. Originally a modest niche venture, Lightware has evolved into a global leader, designing and manufacturing precision video signal management products for high-end applications in various industries. Today, it serves an international clientele from 16 partner offices spread across four continents, affirming its commitment to excellence and innovation in the tech world.
Why We Chose to Partner with Lightware
The Yamaha RM-CG ceiling microphone not only delivers exceptional audio quality but also precisely detects the position of the sound source, distinguishing between speech and noise. This capability makes it an ideal component for Lightware's Voice-Tracking PTZ camera control solution. The collaboration between Yamaha and Lightware results in a cutting-edge audio-visual solution, significantly enhancing the user experience in meeting rooms by ensuring high efficiency and immersion.
Tailored Hybrid Meeting Precision
When incorporated into Taurus UCX/TPX and MMX2 series with LARA software, this solution processes data coming crom the Yamaha ceiling microphone. According to the received information the program recalls pre-defined camera presets, that frames the active speaker. The notable benefits of this solution are it's tailored approach, fully customizable behaviour, instead of an out of the box videoconferencing device.
Consequently, it adeptly supports hybrid meetings in high-quality meeting rooms.
The difference it can bring to your business:
Customizable solutions to meet the specific needs,
Integrating seamlessly with Lightware Taurus UCX/TPX and MMX2 products
Beamforming HVAD (Human Voice Activity Detection) technology guaranteed by Yamaha
The integration’s main components are:
Yamaha RM-CG ceiling microphone
Lightware Taurus UCX/TPX and MMX2 matrix switcher
PTZ camera, that can be controlled via Visca protocol
Enhanced Remote Meeting Technology
The technology ensures that remote meeting participants can clearly see and hear who is speaking at any given moment. It also features built-in intelligence to detect multiple speakers and adapt camera framing accordingly.
In case of silence, crowd talking, or multiple people talking together, the program recalls an overview shot of the participants, avoiding any fast back and forth swinging movement of the camera.
Collaborative Solutions
As a result, remote participants in meetings held in rooms designed for eight or more people will enjoy a more personal and engaging experience, as they can clearly see and hear collegues in the office.
In addition, organisations seeking to standardise this solution globally can rely on the cooperation between Lightware and Yamaha, while AV professionals, including integrators and consultants, can implement a cutting-edge technology solution.
Discover the Distinctive Yamaha Advantage through Lightware Devices
The Voice Tracking PTZ camera (that uses VISCA protocol*) control solution offers automatic camera adjustment using vector data from the Yamaha RM-CG ceiling microphone array. This solution relies on predefined position data originating from the microphone and user-configured camera presets. Once all sound source locations and desired camera presets are recorded and saved, LARA determines the incoming vector data and converts it to a command, controlling the PTZ camera.
*The performance may be different as various cameras implement VISCA protocol as full-featured or just a subset.
